Realtor Groups in Cleveland, Akron Consider Merger Amid Declining Memberships
The Cleveland Area Board of Realtors and the Akron Area Board of Realtors are weighing whether they should combine under one umbrella as they deal with the loss of dues-paying members, the newspaper reports.
The two boards hope a decision can be made this year, the newspaper reports. As of early 2012, the Cleveland board had 3,147 members and the Akron board had 1,367 members, the newspaper reports. Realtor boards in Columbus and Cincinnati have larger memberships.
