Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge and Black Elected Officials endorse Mayor Frank G. Jackson at 11th Congressional District Parade

Cleveland OH, August 29, 2013. Mayor Frank G. Jackson is pleased to announce the endorsement and support of Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge as well as a number of black elected officials on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00 am - located at 146th and Kinsman Avenue - near the start of the parade route. The 11th Congressional District Labor Day Parade is described by many as the signature event - on Cleveland’s east side - marking the start of the campaign season.

Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge understands the importance of leadership during difficult times “During an historic downturn in the economy, the foreclosure crisis as well as significant job losses, Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s leadership through it all has been steadfast and unwavering. Cleveland is the economic heart of our region and our regional health is strong; and it is for these, and many other reasons, that today - I am pleased to announce my support for my Mayor - - - Our Mayor - - - Mayor Frank G. Jackson.”

Both Congresswoman Fudge and Mayor Jackson will be joined by a number of black elected officials at the start of the Labor Day parade route for a brief photo and press availability. Mayor Jackson is humbled and pleased to have the support of Congresswoman Fudge along with a number of African American elected officials who are working everyday to improve the quality of life for all Clevelanders.
