COLUMBUS—Today, State Senator Nina Turner’s campaign for Ohio Secretary of State announced that the Ohio Joint Conference Board of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) unanimously voted to endorse the state senator for Ohio Secretary of State.
“Nina has built a reputation for strong leadership and caring. The one thing that stood out to the Board was Nina’s commitment to Ohio families and communities,” wrote Troy Miller, President of the ATU Ohio Joint Legislative Conference Board. “Not only does the Joint Legislative Conference Board endorse Nina Turner, we thank her for all the work she has done for Ohio families.”
The ATU Ohio Joint Conference Board represents the state’s seven locals located in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton, Steubenville, Toledo, and Youngstown. Nationally, the ATU is the largest labor union representing transit and allied workers in the United States and is comprised of over 190,000 members.
“Ohio’s transit workers are true public servants,” Senator Turner said. “These folks work day in and day out connecting Ohioans with jobs, businesses, and their communities. I am honored to have their support as we continue to push for fair elections, and an Ohio that works for every Ohioan.”
